Alan is well known as a highly effective and innovative business leader in the South African commercial economy. He possesses an impressive combination of both entrepreneurial qualities and mature operational business leadership qualities.
Qualifications
Alan Ber holds a degree in Chartered Accountancy and completed his articles at Grant Thornton.
Career
Alan joined Glomail in 1995 as Financial Manager, was appointed as Financial Director of Glomail in 1996 and as Financial Director of the Glomail Group in 1998.
In November 2000 he was elevated to Chief Executive Officer of the Glomail Group – which leadership position he holds to this day - to become the architect of the group’s successful turnaround, putting his exceptional skills of strict business controls and operational systemisation to positive and productive effect.
