Qualifications
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Business School, Netherlands; Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Columbia University, New York; Fellow of the Institute of Bankers (FIBSA).
Experience
Rodger has extensive international and African experience in top-tier banks including Nedbank (1983 to 1999), ABSA Bank (2000 to 2006) and the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (2006 to 2008).
While working in Southern Africa and the Middle East, he pioneered the development and implementation of Islamic banking within a western-based system of banking.
During this period he successfully created strategic planning models and best-in-class retail banking products with solutions to assist both the retail banks and their clients to achieve their financial goals.
Rodger, who has 24 years of retail banking experience, includes sales, general management and executive management roles in both South Africa and Bahrain within his richly diverse portfolio of international success stories.
At a professional level, he served four years as an Executive Member of the South African Institute of Bankers, served as a Board Member of the Mortgage Fund Administrators and served as Council Executive of the Vaal University of Technology for three years.
